2010 wrap up (another one)

I know I already posted my 2010 year in review, and we're well into the first week of 2011... but this wrap up survey is too much fun not to post too!

1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Went to Europe. Used a crockpot. Flew in a 3-person plane. Bought skinny jeans. Got married.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make new year's resolutions, because I never keep them!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My boss had twins in June.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.

5. What countries did you visit?
Ireland, United Kingdom, Italy, Vatican City and Greece.

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
A house! And a raise, a two car garage, regular attendance at the gym, more motivation to clean the house, and 3 more hours every day (which I would spend sleeping).

7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched on your memory, and why?
September 18 - our wedding day.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I can't think of anything too impressive...

9. What was your biggest failure?
Gaining a few pounds... not happy about that.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
The worst illness was a really bad cold I got in Greece.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The experiences I had in Europe. Seeing the Irish countryside, Venitian canals, the Mediterranean Sea, the Colisseum... it was priceless.

12. Where did most of your money go?
Bills - mostly rent and student loan payments. And the wedding.

13. What did you get really excited about?
So much! Going to Europe, my sister moving back to California, our wedding, Thanksgiving.

14. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Umm I suppose Teenage Dream and other way overplayed songs.

15. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Happier or sadder? About the same. Still happy!
Thinner or fatter? Fatter.
Richer or poorer? Richer, thanks to James graduating and working full time.

16. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Work out and read books.

17. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sleep in too late.

18. How did you spend Christmas?
With our families.

19. What was your favorite TV program?
Lost, Modern Family, 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom, V.

20. What were your favorite books of the year?
Ugh I am the worst reader! Not like I don't know how to read - haha, I just hardly ever think to read for pleasure. I can't even answer this because I didn't read anything earth-shatteringly good.

21. What was your favorite music from this year?
Black Eyed Peas, I guess.

22. What were your favorite films of this year?
I don't even remember the last movie I went to. I'm not a film person and I honestly can't think of one that I loved.

23. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 24 on June 16. I went to work and received flowers from my husband (then my fiance). We went to dinner at Chicago Fire, my fave.

24. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Going to Europe for a whole month instead of 2 weeks, and having a 2-week honeymoon instead of 4 days. Can you tell that I ♥ vacations?

25. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Solid colors, comfy flats and skinny jeans. Boring!

26. What kept you sane?
My newfound love of MTV reality shows - Jersey Shore and Teen Mom ;)

27. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.
As soon as your wedding is over it doesn't seem that important anymore. AND, you have to make a point of spending time with your friends or they become just acquaintances.

This is a good end of year summary!
I was thinking about the fatter/thinner thing. I think it depends on the month for me! ha
Happy New Year

This is great recap of your year! I agree about having to make time for friends. It changes the dynamic a little!
